What is Vastu Shastra

The science of Vastu Shastra enables the flow of positive energies in our lives, keeping in mind the geographical directions. Actually, these directions influence electro-magnetic energies around us. Vastu Shastra is an ancient Indian Vedic science of architecture. It gives guidelines on how buildings should be planned to maximize positive energies in the structures we dwell in and work. In the English language, Vastu means a house or a dwelling. The aim of Vastu science is to bring peace, prosperity, and health to the lives of all.

Principles behind Vastu Shastra (Vastu science)

According to Indian Vedic science; Earth, Water, Fire, Air, and Space are five elements that constitute the entire universe. These five elements constitute the human body as well. Coordination of these five elements of nature with the elements of humans is critical for a harmonious life.

The Five Elements of Life

The five elements of life are known as Pancha Bhoota. In Sanskrit, it means Five Great Elements.  According to Hinduism, everything made of these Five elements. Earth, fire, water, air and space are the five elements. In order to harness maximum positive energies, all these elements must work in sync. Consequently, all the family members then can that can have harmony and prosperity in their lives. These elements predict how particular directions will interact with particular objects. This further will affect the lives of people residing in that building, e.g. if a fire sign person sets up an office in the corner that represents the water corner, the elements will negate each other.

These little details of Vastu shastra are not only based on the directions and elements of nature. These are also based on the personality of the dweller, or at least the element that the person was born into. History of Vastu science

The earliest references on Vastu shastra can be found in Stapatya Veda. It is a part of Atharvana Veda, one of the four Vedas. The cities of Mohenjo Daro and Harappan civilization were designed according to the Vastu Shastra principles. Matsya Purana, also discuses seventeen preceptors of Vastu. Primarily, the rules of Vastu shastra were applied while building Hindu temples. Later, houses, workplaces also started incorporating these rules for a prosperous and peaceful life.

What happens if a building is not as per Vastu Shastra?

Are you facing lots of problems in your business location or in your new office space?

Or as soon as you shifted to a new house, you have been facing lots of relationship issues?

Then, we can say that your building is not constructed according to the principles of Vastu shastra. Any home or a building that is not according to Vastu science principles results in financial losses, illnesses in family members, or disharmony in relationships. On the contrary, if your building follows the principles of Vastu then it will harness positive cosmic energies, thus resulting in peace and prosperity.
